PRICE

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Goods will be charged at the price in effect at the time of despatch. Where chargeable, VAT will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of despatch. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT, insurance, freight charges and handling charges. Purchaser shall furnish Computers Online Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the Company) with appropriate tax exemption certificate, if applicable. All prices quoted are subject to availability of the goods.

PRICE PLEDGE

Computers Online Limited believe in checking our competitors' prices online and in-store on your behalf on all the laptops we sell, to make sure that our price is always low. If we find a lower price then we lower ours - please note that this is entirely at the discretion of the management of Computer Online Limited and we will not go below our cost price.

If you find a product on our website or for an item we quote you, priced lower on currys.co.uk, dixons.co.uk, comet.co.uk, pcworld.co.uk or in a local store within the UK, we'll match the price - at our discretion.

This price pledge applies where the offer can be verified, either by written evidence (e.g. advert, quotation, dated screen print etc.) or verbally from our competitors.

We do not match warehouse clubs or any retail club requiring membership, Mail order and internet companies other than those listed, warranty prices, as no competitors' warranty is directly comparable to our own. 

PAYMENT

The Company will retain title to goods supplied until payment for the goods is received in full. All goods are payable COD, cash, cheque, bank electron transfer and hankers draft immediately upon receipt of the goods or upon prior credit approval, or unless otherwise granted by the Company. Where credit terms are allowed, terms of payment are strictly net and payable 30 days from the date of the Company's Invoice. The Company, at its discretion, reserves the right to implement (including interest charges) on accounts outstanding beyond the credit terms. A surcharge of 5% of the value of the goods ordered may be implemented if the payment due remains outstanding for a period of greater than 30 days after the date of the Company 's invoice.

The rate of interest changes shall be (2)% per month from the due date until payment is made.

ORDER

The description of the goods shall be on the price list and quotation. Purchaser will ensure that the goods purchased are suitable and compatible with purchasers requirements.

The order accepted by the company is not subjected to change or cancellation by purchaser without the consent of the company and without reasonable notice being given to the company. A minimum of 20% of the value of the goods as handling charge may be applied to orders changed or cancelled.

An order placed via the shopping cart is deemed to have been accepted when the purchasers credit card has been debited and/or the purchaser has clicked on the link "checkout" or "continue" within the Paypal website. If the order is then rejected for whatever reason by the purchaser, Computers Online Limited may charge (at their discretion) raise a handling charge up to 20% of the value of the goods originally ordered.

The company will raise a handling charge or testing charge of £10 or 20% of the purchase value, whichever is greater, for any item returned as faulty but found to have no fault. The purchaser shall pay all costs and expenses incurred in collection of any sums owing by the purchaser.

SHIPMENT

Shipment of all product shall be FOB the Company, unless otherwise indicated. In the event of damage, delay or loss due to the mishandling in transportation, the purchaser shall deal directly with the common freight carrier. The purchaser shall instruct the Company with shipping instructions, if no specific instruction, are given, the Company will select a reasonable shipping method to provide on time delivery, with no reasonable freight cost. The Company is not liable for delay or any freight charge of shipment due to the absence of shipping instructions from purchaser. In the case of shipment delay due to the cause of purchaser, the Company will store all products ordered at purchaser’s risk and expense. All dates and times quoted for delivery are estimates and while the company will endeavour to meet such estimates it does not guarantee to do so and shall not be liable for any damages resulting from any failure to meet delivery dates and times howsoever caused.

Any risk or loss of damage to products shall be passed to the freight carrier, purchaser or purchaser’s agent at FOB point

GOODS & LIABILITY

Goods are not supplied on a trial basis unless otherwise agreed by the Company. Purchasers are responsible for verifying suitability and compatibility of equipment before purchasing it. If evaluation is allowed by the Company, the evaluated products must be received by the Company within seven (7) days after the end of the evaluation period. Any product retained after this period will be deemed as purchase with payment due at the end of the evaluation period. Goods are owned by Computers Online Limited until such time as when they have been fully paid for.

Computers Online Limited take no responsibility for data lost or corrupted or altered in any way as a result of faulty equipment or hardware/software or any other item provided by the Company. The purchaser must ensure that they have backup procedures in place to ensure that data loss is kept to a minimum (if you require any advice on backup procedures please call or email us). 

The Company’s liability will be limited to the value of the goods only and not for any consequential damages or losses howsoever caused.

ONSITE SETUP (1 & 2)

We will visit your home or offices and setup the PC (as long as Microsoft Windows was pre-installed by us) to enable you to use it - if Windows was not installed we will install your own original (retail) copy of Microsoft Windows (as long as it is only to be used on this PC only). We will endeavour to show you how to use the PC and some of the basic functions as well as setup up an internet account for you if required. The fee does not include mileage which will be additional to the fee of £30 and is only valid for the 1st hour. After an hour we will charge a fee of £30 per hour. Normal installation of the PC and setup to the internet should take no longer than 1 hour. Our standard hourly fee does not include any mileage fees (these are additional fees that may be levied depending upon your location).

The discount of up to 25% is available to various groups & individuals including: individuals over the age of 40, single parent families, disabled individuals, people on low income etc... Please ask for the discount level applicable for you. This discount is discretionary and need not be applied. 

We take no responsibility for data lost or other problems that arise whilst we are at your premises. The onus is on the purchaser to ensure that they have adequate insurance cover (if applicable). We will however ensure that all employees of Computers Online Limited are covered by our own insurance policies.

SERVICE

UK Mainland

The Company will repair or replace, at its discretion, faulty equipment at no charge to the customer up to a period of 10 days from the date of invoice. All warranty repairs carried out after this period will be done on a parts and labour basis with all carriage costs payable by the customer.

All consumer equipment is covered by a 12 months repair or replacement warranty for parts and labour only from the date of purchase. The warranty seal must not have been tampered with otherwise this may invalidate the warranty, this is at the discretion of the Company.

Upon receipt of returned goods Computers Online shall repair or replace at our discretion and shall return to the customer’s original invoice address. Goods received by Computers Online which are damaged or incomplete or not of Computers Online original shall not be processed and shall be returned to customer at customer’s expense.

Non-UK Mainland

The customer will be responsible for all carriage/customs charges to get the defective equipment repaired under warranty.

RETURN AND CREDIT

A RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORISE (RMA) number must be obtained from the Company prior to returning any item. The company accepts no responsibility whatsoever for items returned without an RMA number. Any item returned to the Company for any reason must be accompanied by the original or copy sales receipt or delivery note. For non-defective products, the Company does not accept return of sold products after thirty (30) days from the Company's Invoice date, nor will the Company refund or credit back the purchase money after the above mentioned period of time. To qualify for the refund or credit back, purchaser must notify the Company timely, obtain proper authorisation from the Company and at the purchaser’s expense deliver the products m the Company's offices within the above mentioned 30 day period. Items returned if accepted by the Company will be refunded or credited back at the price current at the price of refund less any handling charge and will be subject to a restocking charge of £20.00 or 20% of the purchase value, whichever is higher. The Company reserves the right to refuse any request to specifically credit any returned product. Any credit for returned products will be applicable against future purchases and therefore no payment will be made.

Unless otherwise agreed by the Company in writing, conditions shall in all respects be constructed and operate under English Law.

All orders accepted by the company shall be subject to the Company’s Standard Terms and Conditions. Any terms and condition presented in orders placed by purchaser which are in conflict with the Company’s Standard Terms and Conditions shall be inapplicable without the prior written approval of the Company.

If the "Void if removed" label at the rear of the pc has been tampered with (in any way) or it is evident that the pc has been either opened up or modified (in any way) - without the express permission (in writing) of Computers Online Limited - the warranty from Computers Online Limited may have been invalidated. Please contact Computers Online Limited to discuss at your earliest opportunity.

Unless otherwise expressly stated by the Company in writing, the Company makes no representation or warranty, whether expressed or implied, with respect to any of the products, including without limitation, warranties, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and all such warranties are expressly disclaimed.

RMA PROCEDURES

Returns: RMA number must first be obtained from the C ompany. To obtain an RMA number, purchaser is required to provide the invoice number, shipment date, model number, serial number and the reason(s) for return. Products to be returned must be received by the Company within (30) days after issuance of the RMA number. For defective products returned, purchaser is required to test and identities the nature of defect. Should the Company find the products to be non-defective, such products will be returned to purchaser freight collect

Shipment: Products should be returned to the company freight prepaid in the original boxes and packing materials. The warranty seal (sticker on case) must be intact and untampered with. Returned products must be complete, including all manuals, cables, accessories etc. RMA number must be marked clearly outside the carton and also on the mailing labels. Proof of purchase and a note of reasons for return must be enclosed. No freight collect or COD on return RMA shipment will be accepted by the Company. In the event that RMA shipment not meeting all the above conditions, the Company reserve the right to refuse the shipment and the imposition of handling charges.

Also the light relief links are again provided at no risk to Computers Online Limited. The links are there purely to give the user access to "funny" or "absurd" happenings with no risk or responsibility held by Computers Online Limited.

ONSITE WARRANTY

All onsite warranties are provided by CPU Warranty Insurance. Not by Computers Online Limited. 

LEGAL DISCLAIMER

When providing us copy of your Windows product ID (licence number) by email, fax or over the phone you are agreeing to the conditions on this section.

By providing this number you are agreeing that you own this copy of Windows, that it is registered in your name, that this number is not in use by another machine, that it a retail copy and not an OEM copy (as is supplied along with a PC), that you have purchased it as a standalone product and that the licence covers installation and use of the product in the UK. You are certifying that you are within your licence agreement by requesting us to install it on your new PC.

We will use this licence number to install a version of Windows using our own CD. This service is provided free of charge, in good faith, and without obligation. While we apply due care and attention to any installations we perform, and we install all the relevant drivers, we take no responsibility for the personalisation/quality/version of the installation, and/or optimising/performance of the installation. We also accept no liability for any loss of data, loss of business or subsequent loss which is a direct or indirect result from our provision of this free service.

This free service is based on the assumption that you are capable of formatting the hard disk and re-installing the operating system with no help from us should the current installation be not to your satisfaction or should your PC ever require the operating system re-installed. Any re-installations we perform at your request in the future could be subject to a charge for the time involved and may be subject to the same conditions described in this document.

By providing us this licence number you are undertaking to indemnify Computers Online Ltd for the cost of the software and any other legal or other expenses or loss we may incur if it transpires that the installation was done in contravention of the terms and conditions under which the package/s was licenced.
